I quite like this design, but it might've been difficult if more buttons were needed later on.

This was the one that was used in the end, but it was only the second I made. I think the nebula background looks nice.

This looks nice, but it might not have merged into the background properly on the actual site. Adding new buttons would be easy though.

Very similar to the one above but without the nebula background. I prefer the other one.

Like some of the others, but with this fading effect which I think looks quite snazzy.

Again with the fading and this time curving the buttons round the LoNAF planet. The planet was made with the Flaming Pear Lunar plugin and uses the Lonny colour scheme. Another set of buttons could have been put on the other side if more than five were needed later on.

Here you can see all the links in use over on LoNAF's index page, a new button is made for each one.

These link buttons are still in use on Lonaf, unlike the logos on the previous page.

 

Another aspect that needed to be designed were the link buttons on the main page. A uniform design would be used for them and they would display the logo of the website they linked to. Here are a few of the potential designs I posted and the one which was eventually used.
